Professional Employee Compensation Plan
Summary At Sea, Land, and Air Professional Services, our workers are our currency, our lifeblood, and most of all are great people. We want to keep those great people. Therefore, we provide competitive wages and a wealth of benefits for each of them. To make sure our wages are livable, we constantly check them against others in the area, using Salary Expert (from Career Builder), the Department of Labor Wage Determination reports, other companies’ public disclosures, and other tools. The benefits we provide are very generous. To give you an example, we had a Professional Employee Organization recently tell us $2100 per month per employee spent on benefits was considered “extremely generous.” We provide approximately $3600 per month per employee. A full 28% of our payroll goes to benefits. We all know the importance of benefits, because a happy family, often times, equals a content worker. At most companies, benefits are usually a cookie-cutter approach. At SLA Svcs, each employee can choose from a broad range of options. For example, we have four different options for healthcare, ranging from minimal coverage for someone with no family and is rarely ill, to high-end coverage for those who want to see whichever doctor they want, when they want, and as often as they want. In all cases, SLA Svcs pays 75% of their healthcare premiums. Short and long-term disability insurance is provided by the employer. We pay for the employees life insurance coverage equal to the employees annual salary, and the employee has an option to pay for higher coverage amounts. We also provide dental, vision, group legal, and flexible spending account plans. You'll be hard-pressed to find a better salary-benefits package. Lastly, we try to make all the employees and their families feel like they belong. The work atmosphere is great and the people love the benefits. We make sure we have company get-togethers to make the whole family know they are part of the company. This way, the employer isn't just an employer, but a friend and someone who can be counted on to look after their needs. We have had absolutely no turnover. Once people come to SLA Svcs, they stay.
